Calculator inputs
RoofFolio’s calculator code processes your measurements locally in the browser. It does not send form entries to a calculation server. RoofFolio’s own code has no accounts, analytics or contact forms, sets no cookies and does not save worksheets in local storage. Pages also load Google’s advertising code, described under Advertising below, which works separately from the calculators and can use its own cookies.
Links between tools
When you select a result-transfer link, the transferred area or pitch appears in the destination URL. That URL can appear in browser history and normal hosting request logs. Do not put confidential information in a worksheet URL. Only numerical measurements and a short source identifier are used by the transfer controls. Because pages load Google’s advertising code, the page address — including any transferred measurement it contains — can also be sent to Google when ads are requested.
Advertising
RoofFolio uses Google AdSense to show advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. Other advertising vendors certified by Google may also take part in serving ads through AdSense.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Advertisements never change calculator inputs or results, and RoofFolio does not choose or endorse the products shown.
Copy and print
Copy result writes the displayed calculation, inputs and limitations to your clipboard when you request it. Print worksheet uses your browser’s print interface. Your operating system, browser, printer or chosen destination controls those copies.
Site delivery
Hosting services receive the information needed to deliver a page, such as the requested URL, IP address and browser request headers. Hosting-level access controls may operate separately from the calculator code. This page does not promise a retention period for infrastructure logs.
Fonts are served from RoofFolio’s own domain. Apart from Google’s advertising services described above, the application does not request third-party services.
